Webinars continue to rank among the most effective content marketing tactics, according to the latest study from the Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs.
1,500 B2B marketers ranked webinars as the #2 most effective content marketing tactic, with the first being in-person events. The top five also included case studies, white papers, and videos.
Webinars consistently rank among the top formats each year, as they provide rich content experiences and unique opportunities to engage audiences.
Other top findings from the report include:
- 88% of respondents said they use content marketing, a 2% increase from last year
- Producing engaging content is both respondents’ top challenge and top priority
- Lead generation has overtaken brand awareness as the most important goal for B2B marketers
The study also found that the majority of marketers leverage LinkedIn (94%), Twitter (87%), and Facebook (84%) to distribute their content to potential prospects. Most companies are active on about 6 social media platforms each.
