Bringing the Action of VMworld to Online Audiences

It used to be what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Now, what happens in Vegas, goes online. While that may be a liability for some, it is an asset for those who were not able to attend VMworld in Las Vegas last week and can now experience the action and excitement of the event online.

At BrightTALK, we were thrilled to be working with Intel to capture a sampling of the industry leadership, expertise and product announcements showcased at VMworld 2011. Word on the Strip was that VMworld is the definitive conference for cloud and virtualization. “If you could only attend one conference every year, this should be it,” we heard someone remark.

We were excited to be among the Elvis Presleys, Frank Sinatras, and Dean Martins of the cloud and virtualization industry as these are among the key communities on BrightTALK. The conference was also a great opportunity for various BrightTALK teams to cooperate in creating video content on behalf of Intel. With the help of our account managers, who spoke with clients on the show floor, BrightTALK’s Senior Producer, Simon Gerzina, and I filmed Intel product demos, presentations and breakout sessions as well as interviews with industry thought leaders and partners.

Lady Luck was with us as we captured the excitement of the conference on video in show floor highlights and attendee feedback. The Intel booth saw a constant flow of attendee traffic and the buzz was palpable. In the true Vegas style, the action had us dashing from one event to the next, filming and making use of any opportunity to transfer the media we gathered onto hard drives to bring back to our offices for editing.

We are busy editing the hours of footage gathered into concise videos for your consumption! We are very excited to share them with you in the Intel Mission Critical Computing Channel on BrightTALK in the coming weeks.
