Our New Look: Exposing Relevant Content to the World of Business Professionals
We’ve taken a big step to improve the user experience on BrightTALK today. We’re inspired daily by the quality and quantity of knowledge shared by our 1,000,000+ users and are committed to building the site to change the way professionals learn and communicate.
Take a look around the site and you’ll see an array of improvements, including:
More relevant content exposed
Unlike other webinar platforms, we archive and aggregate all our content and our landing pages to expose viewers to more than just the presentation they’re viewing. On each landing page, you’ll now see a feed of additional content from the BrightTALK Channel hosting that presentation as well as a feed of related content from the relevant professional community. That means more content will be discovered more often.
Easy sharing tools built into each page
When viewers find valuable content, they often think to share it with colleagues or peers in their network. We’ve placed social sharing buttons atop each page along with email and embed options. Try sharing content with your connections on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Google+, send emails through BrightTALK and embed presentations on your websites or blogs by copying and pasting the code into the HTML of the page you want the player to appear on.
Streamlined registration and log in process
BrightTALK subscribers have benefitted from only registering once to access all of the content on BrightTALK. Now the experience is even more optimized for new subscribers with a simplified registration form. Returning users benefit from a cleaner login process as well.
Mobile access with an HTML5 player and an iPad and iPhone application
Professionals tend to be on the go and are consuming more and more content on mobile devices. We’ve built an HTML5 player that launches when iPad or iPhone users click on recorded content, and we’ve also released an application for an even better experience that allows those users to also download presentations for offline viewing.
Faster-loading pages optimized for search
The webinar and video landing pages load faster so that audiences can quickly navigate the site and find important information about the content. Header and title tags and links abound and will make it so that each piece of content is more easily discovered through search engines.
Visually appealing channel pages
Channel pages now highlight the channel tagline and description to help you better understand the content of the channel. The most recent webinar or video is featured at the top the page to showcase the latest content.
New homepage
Learning is an exciting experience, so we’ve redesigned our homepage to reflect that. The brighter theme goes on top of a map of the world that signifies the power of streaming media to connect professionals with the knowledge they need no matter where they are. The ticker at the center shows you how many minutes of content have been consumed across the site. Viewers, presenters, and channel owners can all log in or register and explore relevant content from here. Those interested in learning more about BrightTALK’s products and services, accessing our support portal, or learning more about the company can do so from our expanded footer.
New webinar and video listing formats
Instead of listing live and upcoming webinars and videos in the same tab, we now list live and recorded content in one tab and upcoming content in the other. That lets users see events they can view immediately in one area and events they can sign up for in another.
We hope you continue to find BrightTALK to be a valuable site with content that keeps you informed and inspires you and your organization. Many of these improvements are a direct result of your feedback and suggestions, so please keep them coming.
